The 22nd Annual Sedalia Half Marathon – March 28, 2004 Rain and Temperatures in the upper 40’s greeted 114 brave souls on a day better suited for duck hunting than racing. Local youth Aaron Cooper took top honors as he sustained an even pace and slowly broke away from all challengers. His time of 1:18:08 was 1:31 up on second place and first masters Lullel Hickman from Walnut Grove, Missouri. After Lullel, came 5 more masters, which left everyone wondering where all the open runners were. The women’s winner in 1:29:45 was masters runner Shari Woiwood of Lee’s Summit. Shari out paced second place finisher Heidi Bryant, of Kansas City, by nearly 2 minutes.
